I can see my granddaughter graduate thanks to World First
A happy customer from Lincolnshire was delighted with the quote from World First Travel Insurance as it meant he could travel to Canada to see his granddaughter graduate. He said:
“I have been with the same insurers for years and always used them for my travel insurance. I’ve never had any trouble getting a policy with them before, until I told them I wanted to go to Canada for two months. They told me that due to new rules they were unable to insure me for travel to Canada as the cost of hospital treatment there is too expensive.
“I was very frustrated as I wanted to go to Canada for a special occasion, my granddaughter is graduating in June and I wanted to be at the ceremony. I spoke to friends about my predicament and started calling around every insurance company I could think of.
“I’m 78 and on medication for high blood pressure and high cholesterol, I’ve also had a new right knee and am due to have the left knee replaced later this year so lots of insurance companies couldn’t even give me a quote. Those that did could only cover me for 31 days and they were incredibly expensive, with one being more than £1000.
“I always take extended holidays as I don’t see the point in going a long distance and only staying for a few weeks. I like to make the most of my holidays, especially when I have family to catch up with while I’m away.
“I was having so much trouble trying to get a policy that it got to the point when I didn’t know if I would actually be able to go.
“A friend of mine saw an advert for World First Travel Insurance in the newspaper and suggested I give them a call. I was relieved to hear that I was passed through their medical screening process and the quote they gave me was much better value than I had expected.
“I am absolutely delighted with the service from World First, getting the right policy means I can travel to Canada later this month, catch up with my family, take in the sights and see my granddaughter graduate.
“When it comes to my next holiday I’ll make sure World First are the first people I call to get a quote. In fact I’ve already recommended them to a friend!”
