London 2012 'well connected'
The site of the London 2012 Olympic is one of the best connected areas that the games has ever been held at, it has been claimed.
Nick Mercer, commercial director at Eurostar, said that there is going to be a Javelin service, with high-speed trains running from St Pancras station to Stratford and Ashford.
The three years between now and the games leave Brits plenty of time to make sure they get travel insurance and cheap train tickets for their trip to London to the event.
Mr Mercer said that each year, the city attracts millions of tourists.
"In the summer there are almost as many tourists in London as there will be during the Olympic Games. In this city, we are used to moving an enormous number of people around and it is logistically doable," he said.
Those travelling from all corners of the UK to the games may want to check that their travel insurance policy covers them for any problems which may see them miss an event they have brought tickets for.
