A large number of people would like to follow in the footsteps of Peaches Geldof and get married in Las Vegas, according to new research.
Research from Halifax Travel Insurance has found that the daughter of Bob Geldof and Paula Yates has tied the knot with Max Drummey in one of the top ten dream wedding spots.
The study of 2,000 people nationwide, voted the Caribbean as the top destination, followed by Maui in Hawaii and then the Amalfi Coast in Italy.
Couples contemplating getting hitched abroad are advised to make sure they take out travel insurance in case a disastrous problem impacts the wedding, such as lost or damaged belongings.
Vicky Watson, spokesperson for Halifax Travel Insurance, said: "Destination weddings are increasing in popularity as the likes of Coleen and Wayne and now Peaches and her husband opt for such a thing.
"The choice of location both of these celebrity couples made, featured in our research proving that a wedding abroad is something many of us think and dream about."
According to recent research from the British Insurance Brokers' Association, many British couples are getting married abroad to the unreliability of the British weather.
