Increasing numbers turning to Mexico for adventure

Many who are willing to spend more on a luxury break are likely to head to the North American country, which now boasts a whole host of resorts and thrill-seeking opportunities.
Los Cabos and Baja California are to the best places to stay for a break, according to the editor of Luxury Travel magazine, Alyson Cook.
However, those looking for adventure should head to the newer destinations of Oaxaca and Chiapas.
Ms Cook said: "For those who are looking into the adventure market which is a growing part of the luxury travel experience, people want adventure and once in a lifetime experiences, so they will go to 'newer' destinations like Oaxaca, Queretaro and Chiapas.
"It's not just staying in a hotel, it's walks in the jungle, communing with the animals, going to climb the cultural pyramids - that's more adventurous."
Those who are planning a more adventurous romantic break to destinations such as the jungles of Mexico need to make sure they have good comprehensive travel insurance to protect them against the medical risks associated with such attractions.
