Tenerife 'an upmarket destination'
13 November 2009 07:11
Travel insurance could be next on the shopping list of Brits planning on taking a holiday to the Spanish island of Tenerife, which has been described as an "upmarket" place to visit.
According to Jayne Nuttall, a travel counsellor at Travel Counsellors, Tenerife is "in general", a more upmarket place to visit than the other Canary Islands.
Ms Nuttall said that on the island, there are more four and five-star properties than on other islands, as well as high-end "deluxe" places to stay, which might interest those planning on getting holiday insurance and jetting off for a winter sun break.
As well as this, Tenerife offers a wide range of places to stay for all budgets, which could interest Brits watching their holiday pennies, who are also advised to look for the best travel insurance quotes.
While getting low-cost accommodation could be a wise move to save money on a trip, cutting back on holiday insurance could prove to be a bad step, as getting medical treatment abroad without a travel insurance policy could be costly.
