Greece 'a top destination'
Greece is one of the top four places for tourists to visit, it has been claimed.
The Greek National Tourism Organisation stated that the island's affordability is one of the main reasons why people continue to choose Greece as a place to take a holiday.
However, the tourist board also said that despite being the fourth top tourist destination, Greece aims to one day become the best in the world - which could be of interest to those looking to get single trip insurance and jet off to sunnier climes for a break.
Talking to travel website TravelMole recently, founder of Aquis Hotels John Kent said that his firm plans to expand its Greek portfolio to 20 properties, which will make it the biggest hotel group in the country.
"Our appeal to UK holidaymakers has improved considerably as the desire to stay in self catering properties begins to diminish," he told the source.
