'Brits travelling abroad' for stag and hen parties
26 January 2009 10:54
Brides and grooms-to-be are being advised to ensure they have adequate travel insurance for their hen and stag parties if they are heading overseas.
Wedding planner hitched.co.uk says that more engaged people are opting to travel abroad for their pre-wedding celebrations.
Francesca Moore, a spokeswoman for the site, said: "Stag and hen dos can be near or far. A few pints of Guinness in Dublin or the night life of Amsterdam are popular destinations for the stags.
"The ladies choice might be a Spanish sangria, or trip up north to Edinburgh. [These are] all popular choices."
She added that those with a bigger budget may opt to go further a field to places such as Las Vegas or New York.
Travelling with a big group of friends can be distracting for holidaymakers who are warned to ensure they have travel insurance in case they lose any of their possessions or have them stolen.
