Group travel insurance 'cheaper than individual policies
Annual travel insurance becomes cheaper if it is bought for more than one person, it has been claimed.
According to the Telegraph, it is better to buy a group travel insurance policy covering you and a spouse or partner together, or family holiday insurance if you have children.
Writing for the newspaper, Sophie Butler also noted that holidaymakers can save money by making the most of home contents insurance policies that include cover for possessions out of the home.
However, she warned travellers to check the limits of their holiday insurance, recommending that they should include at least £1 million of medical treatment cover in Europe (more in the US) and £1 million for personal liability.
Ms Butler urged those buying group cover to check that the policy doesn't stipulate that you must always travel together.
According to Travelsupermarket.com, people are increasingly choosing to take all-inclusive holiday deals in order to ensure that they do not go over budget once they are away.
