Morocco is planning large-scale production of Barbary fig oil, an anti-ageing potion
Morocco is all set to tap the potential of Barbary fig oil, an apparently effective anti-wrinkle potion.
The north African country has already started cultivating the figs and is aiming to start large-scale commercial production.
But the tiny amount of oil extracted from each fruit makes it the most expensive on the market. It costs almost £1,000 a litre.
Officials hope that the promotion of large-scale production and export of the oil will make the country a hub of anti-ageing remedies.
Elderly globe-trotters who hold comprehensive seniors travel insurance policies could now choose Morocco for an extended stay thanks to the anti-ageing therapies.
The country is already famous for argan oil, another cosmetic therapy.
