Over 50s 'using holiday technology'
Increasing numbers of British over 50s are keen to capture the memories of a holiday or trip by taking a camera phone or digital camera away with them, it has been said.
According to Gap Year for Grown Ups, this age group is embracing holiday technology and are also likely to share their travel experiences with their friends and families on social networking sites.
People aged 50 and above could have some medical conditions which could put them at more risk of falling ill while on holiday.
This could mean that travel insurance for pre-existing medical conditions could prove to be the best value for money and offer the right level of cover.
Brand manager at Gap Year for Grown Ups Lauren Mackay said: "The internet and particularly social networking sites have enabled a greater ability to research destinations, read reviews, book online and take advantage of online offers when it comes to holidaying."
