'Sports fans will like Switzerland'

Football fans heading to Austria and Switzerland to catch some of the action of the Euro 2008 Football Championships have been told that the latter is a place that is likely to appeal to sports enthusiasts by Sunday Homes, a company that specialises in the Swiss property market.

Laurence Cederwell, manager of the firm, said that "sports fans from both summer and winter sports will definitely feel at home there".

He added that Switzerland offers sports fans the opportunity to take part in a number of different activities with the option of finding a place between a lake and a mountain to tackle watersports in the summer and skiing in the winter.

Travellers that have the time and want to seek out these sorts of activities should make sure they are covered in case of injury.

Special insurances such as ski insurance are available to cover holidaymakers for the events they are actually taking part in.

According to Switzerland.com, Switzerland's official website for Euro 2008, between 2.8 and 5.4 million visitors will be brought into the country by the tournament.ADNFCR-1320-ID-18627989-ADNFCR
