With Easter holidays approaching it's time to review your family travel insurance

With Easter approaching and excitement about your family holiday building, have you thought about family travel insurance just in case things don't go quite to plan? A family holiday is a considerable investment so it's worth protecting with insurance. With good insurance cover you can travel with peace of mind that you will get assistance and/or compensation if you are subject to delays or cancellations, your luggage gets lost or you have an accident that needs medical treatment.
An annual family travel insurance policy will cover the family as a group and individual members when they travel separately too. So grown-ups are covered for business trips or get-aways without the kids. Children, providing they are accompanied by a responsible adult, will be covered for any number of school trips or summer camps and if they are bold and adventurous you can add activities such as watersports or skiing.
If you have a family member with a pre-existing medical condition, such as asthma or high-blood pressure they can be covered too.
It's worth giving a little bit of thought about what you are likely to get up in the next 12 months to reap the benefits of a cheap annual travel insurance policy. Talk through your options with a specialist travel insurer so they can provide a policy that is tailor made for you, to cover all your likely destinations and activities. If your circumstances change you can amend your policy at any time before you depart to ensure you have adequate cover.
Then off you go and enjoy!
