A fault on one of budget airline Jetstar Asia's planes earlier this week left 148 passengers stuck in China for two days.

In response to the fault on the way to Singapore, the budget airline paid for the passengers' food and their two night stay in Guangzhou, while it organised a new flight.

The passengers arrived in Singapore on a new flight from Guangzhou on Wednesday.

Due to the stranded plane in China, two further Jetstar flights on Tuesday night from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Singapore were cancelled, leaving passengers waiting for six hours while a new plane was arranged.

It is because of mishaps likes these that it is always advisable to purchase comprehensive travel insurance.
