British Airways is launching new flight routes to popular sun holiday destinations in Europe
New flight routes are being introduced from London City Airport to popular destinations in Europe, to help people embarking on summer holidays.
During the summer season, British Airways (BA) will offer special services to top sun holiday destinations in the continent. Travellers will be provided with 36 flights from the airport every week.
Before setting off on a journey, holidaymakers should take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy.
New Embraer 170 and 190 aircraft will carry passengers to places like Palma and Ibiza. BA is already offering five flights to Ibiza every week until September, while there are plans to boost services to Palma and Nice between July and September.
Furthermore, year-round flights will run to popular destinations such as Faro, Portugal and Malaga, allowing people to explore the places throughout the year.
Luke Hayhoe, BA CityFlyer general manager commercial, said: "There has been a huge demand for sun routes from London City Airport which led us to increase the number of summer only leisure destinations we fly to.
"However, there is also demand for year-round holiday destinations and we chose Malaga and Faro because of their temperate climate and leisure activities on offer."
