Miami International Airport suffers flight cancellations and delays
Miami International Airport is suffering due to flight cancellations and delays following a huge fire at its fuel pump.
Passengers are facing disruption as dozens of flights out of the city in Florida are being cancelled due to the blaze. It led to the cancellation of 97 flights, while 17 others were delayed.
Such incidents highlight the importance of taking out an adequate travel insurance policy to protect against unforeseen events.
The airport's fuel depot is currently out of service, so planes are being fuelled through tanker trucks.
Airport authorities are trying to fix the problem with a pumping system. According to a spokesman, installation of a new system could take up to four months.
