Many people saw their flight times affected after the pilots walked out
Scores of Air India flights have been grounded after almost 100 of the airline's pilots took sick leave over a disagreement regarding staff deployment.
The pilots are disgruntled about the carrier's in-house training for its latest B787 Dreamliner aeroplane, reported the BBC.
The airline intends to put the new planes in the hands of Indian Airlines' pilots, who only recently joined Air India after the two companies were merged five years ago.
Holidaymakers heading to India are advised to take out a good travel insurance policy after local press reported that an additional 150 pilots could take time off sick in the coming days.
Finding good cover can be a hassle, so people preparing to jet off are reminded about the cost-effective travel insurance offered by World First.
