EasyJet has announced that a new flight route between London Gatwick and Fuerteventura will be opened next year
Budget airline easyJet has announced that a new flight route between London Gatwick and Fuerteventura will be opened next year.
The inaugural flight will depart on March 28 and will carry holidaymakers, who are likely to have taken out a good
travel insurance policy, twice a week from Gatwick to the beach holiday destination in the Canary Islands.
With its white sandy beaches, the island is a favourite spot for watersports enthusiasts.
It basks in 3,000 hours of sunshine per year.
Paul Simmons, easyJet's UK director, said: "Our new route from Gatwick to Fuerteventura will give passengers easy and affordable access to a perfect all-year-round beach holiday destination.
"Besides its appeal to sun worshippers, the island is one of Europe's best locations for surfing and diving and is another fantastic addition to the 92 destinations we already fly to from London Gatwick."
