One Direction have revealed the first details of next year's Where We Are Tour, which will begin in Colombia on April 25 and take in other destinations in Latin America before five dates in Britain and Ireland.

The Latin American leg of the tour will also see the band entertain fans in countries such as Peru, Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. 1D fans planning to follow their idols around the world should ensure they do not leave the UK without travel insurance.

The chart-topping boy band will then perform at Sunderland's Stadium of Light on May 28 and the Etihad Stadium, the home of Manchester City, on May 31. They will then head north of the border to Murrayfield in Edinburgh on June 3 and back down to London to finish the UK leg at Wembley on June 7.

Band member Harry Styles said: "It's important that the fans know it's not the same tour going around again in stadiums. We want to make the stage bigger, with new songs. It's going to be a completely different tour and a lot of fun."
