Spain and France are the most popular holiday destinations for Britons, according to a new poll
Spain and France have been named in a new poll as Britons' favourite holiday destinations.
They came out on top in a survey of 2,207 people aged over 30 carried out by travel agent sunshine.co.uk, which also revealed some findings about Brits' habits while they are abroad.
Around one in five (19%) Brits never swim or paddle in the sea at home or abroad, the survey showed.
Of those, 21% said they don't like or are afraid of the water and 76% said the opportunity to swim had simply never arisen.
However, whether swimming in the sea or lounging by the pool people should still remember to arrange
travel insurance cover.
Those taking part in the poll had visited an average of two foreign countries.
But it looks like plenty of Brits have lots of overseas travelling still to do, as most of those who have holiday wish-lists said there are eight countries they would still like to visit.
