Brits still choosing Greece as holiday spot

Greece is still a popular spot for British holidaymakers looking to get away, it has been said.
And after getting cheap family travel insurance and picking Greece as their chosen holiday destination, Brits seem to favour areas such as Corfu, Rhodes and Crete, said the Greek National Tourism Association (GNTO).
Director of the UK and Ireland office at the GNTO Sofia Panayiotaki said that after the release of the film adaptation of the Abba stage show Mamma Mia!, Brits are also choosing to take holidays on the island that the movie was filmed on, Skopelos.
"You can find exactly what you want [in Greece], beautiful landscape, beautiful hotels, beautiful scenery, very hospitable people and at the same time, very good prices," she said.
As well as this, Greece offers a wide range of accommodation, which could make finding a suitable place to stay easy for any traveller.
Ms Panayiotaki also went on to say that the country offers good value for money, which could be important for families looking to keep their holiday spend to a minimum after buying travel insurance and flights.
