Brits still love to jet off abroad

While many may be considering holidaying within the UK in a bid to cut costs during the economic downturn, Brits are still fans of jetting off to sunnier climes, it has been said.
Should Brits make a last minute decision to take an overseas break, they should ensure they get the best travel insurance in place to help cover the financial cost of any problems that may occur on their getaway.
According to Frances Tuke, a spokeswoman from ABTA - The Travel Association, people in the UK might have been left disappointed by the weather at home this year, which see them wanting some overseas sun.
"People were promised a barbeque summer this year and that didn't materialise so they felt a little short changed," she said.
Commenting on the range of activities on offer in a destination popular with Brits, Orlando, Ms Tuke said that the UK offers nowhere else like it in terms of "world-class" theme parks being situated all in the same area.
As well as the theme parks, a holiday to Florida can offer beaches, wildlife and a wide range of places to eat and drink, she said.
