Businessmen are never far from their mobile phones when they go on a business trip or a holiday, according to new research.
Research from Credent Technologies has found that 83 per cent of businessmen take their corporate mobile phones or Blackberry away with them to remain in close contact with the office.
These businessmen should also make sure they take away travel insurance for business trips or annual travel insurance for more frequent travellers, in case any important expensive items become lost or damaged.
Also one quarter of the 300 City professionals questioned, took their laptops away on their holidays to keep in touch with their offices through email.
According to Computing.co.uk, the report stated: "Whether it is paranoia on the part of employees, or unrealistic demands from employers, the fact is that this summer numerous workers will be accessing corporate networks from all over the globe."
Chris Rolland from American Express Insurance Services recently told only finance.com that the importance of travel insurance for business trips is increasing because of a rise in the number of gadgets being taken on these trips.
