Christmas airline strikes 'could cause chaos'

British holidaymakers looking to head away for Christmas are being urged to make sure they have travel insurance to cover them for any delays, as millions could be affected if there are any strikes by airline staff.

Christmas is one of the busiest of the year, with packed flights heading out to Florida, the Caribbean and other winter-sun hot spots.

Passengers should always check the small print on their bookings to ensure they will get a refund if strikes do occur.

And experts urge travellers taking iPods, computer consoles and other hi-tech equipment in anticipation of long delays at the airport to double check their travel insurance before they go.
