Beijing to benefit after the Olympics

Beijing will benefit from hosting the Olympic Games but may not do so until a few years time, it has been stated.
Sean Tipton, spokesperson for the Association of British Travel Agents, has stated that people aren't always so keen to flock to cities where a major sporting event is being held because of its busyness and price increases.
However, in a few years time it may have a large appeal.
He said: "What does happen though is it is always very beneficial for the countries chosen in the following years because it attracts a lot of attention, puts the idea of travelling to that country in people's minds and also because there is so much money being spent on infrastructure, a massive amount of money. It means that places become a lot more attractive to tourists."
Holidaymakers setting off to Beijing are advised to take out travel insurance in case they suffer any loss or damage to their belongings or their flight becomes cancelled.
Usain Bolt recently became the fastest man in the world after setting a new 100m world record during the event at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
