Brits 'getting more adventurous' with holidays

Britons are becoming far more adventurous when it comes to choosing their overseas holiday destinations, one leading industry expert has said.
Rob Yandell, managing editor and publisher at Group Leisure magazine, said that travellers are showing increasing fervour for "new and exciting" destinations that break the traditional summer holiday mould.
With cheap flights affording easier access to faraway places - coupled with the added security of comprehensive travel insurance policies - Brits apparently feel more emboldened than ever.
"Like lots of other areas of travel, people are getting more adventurous, looking for new and exciting worldwide destinations," Mr Yandell said. "The world is a smaller place and the options are vast … People are just looking for more adventure and quality at a very reasonable price."
The Association of British Travel Agents has estimated that 83 per cent of holidaymakers who recently went abroad for leisure are planning to do so again at some point in the next 12 months.
