From July 3rd-12th, the 25th Annual Edmonton International Street Performers Festival will take over the downtown area, with over 150 shows being held daily.
Two new acts from the UK - comedy troupe Swank and silent clown Fraser Hooper-Strawberry - will be on the bill, while an international cast of artists will be on hand to entertain kids and adults alike.
Meanwhile, "more mature StreetFest patrons" may wish to head for the Late Night Madness events being held at the Library Theatre on July 10th-11th.
Described as a "zany, one-of-a-kind cabaret performance," the shows start at 23:00 local time.
Other performers at the festival include sword-swallowers, magicians, jugglers, rope-walkers, acrobats and balloon artists.
Anyone heading over to Canada to catch the acts may wish to take out travel insurance to cover their trip.
Next year, Canada's Vancouver is hosting the 2010 Winter Olympics, another reason people might wish to make the journey over the Atlantic.
