Croatia 'an ideal place' for autumn break

Brits looking to make the most of their travel insurance policy and take a break on top of their summer holiday could find that Croatia is an ideal place to visit in autumn.

Visnja Arambasesc, editor of the In Your Pocket guide to Croatia, said that "all places" in Dalmatia are great areas to visit in September and October.

"It's because the weather is most pleasant during the period of Indian summer - the sea still has a good temperature, it's not so hot during the day and still there are quite a lot of cultural happenings to see," she said.

As well as this, Ms Arambasesc went on to comment that this time of year is the best for seeing "the true beauty" of the city.

Those jetting off for a break this year may want to consider buying a guidebook as well as travel insurance.

In Your Pocket provides "urban information" on over 50 cities in central and Eastern Europe.
