Columbia and India 'good value for money'

Brits looking to get away without breaking the bank may find that destinations such as Columbia and India offer them great value for money, it has been claimed.

TUI Travel said that as well as these two countries, Egypt is also a "top destination" for British tourists as there is so much adventure to be had in the country.

Those planning an adventurous break may be wise to consider the activities they may be getting up to on their holiday and then check that their travel insurance policy covers them against any injury obtained during an incident.

Lynsey Devon, activity sector PR manager for the adventure division at TUI Travel, noted that the Middle East is popular due to its easily accessible location in relation to the UK.

Modern tourists are also discovering new places to take a holiday via social networking, she said.

"They will use Twitter, Facebook and they will want to meet who they are travelling with before they go as well," Ms Devon claimed.
