La Tania 'attracts many Brits'

The French resort of La Tania is popular with British skiers, it has been said, with visitors from the UK making up the regions' biggest market.

According to the Office de Tourisme de La Tania, there is a large English community in the area with many people choosing to visit the resort every year.

Should Brits plan on visiting La Tania regularly, they may find that an annual travel insurance policy better value for money than buying a new single trip holiday insurance policy each time they travel.

According to Arnaud Favet, charge de promotion at the tourism office: "Some English locals have been here ten years now and they have pubs, chalets and businesses there."

Brits could also find that the destination offers good value for money, as it is a smaller resort than neighbouring areas such as Courchevel and Meribel, he said.

According to figures from the Ski Club of Great Britain, France still dominates the market for snowsports visitors from the UK and holds more than a 40 per cent market share.
