People in the UK should try to relax and forget about work while on holiday, it has been suggested.
A leading advisor for financial services firm MORE TH>N, Carmel McCarthy, has said that when going on holiday, people should avoid taking their office with them.
One idea, she says, is to leave a good "handover note" for your colleagues, telling them not to contact you unless it's an emergency.
Ms McCarthy commented: "We [Britons] love to work, and we're the nation that works the most in Europe, so we obviously don't like to be away from the office for too long.
"Take your time out and enjoy your holiday, leave the technology at home if you can."
Being fully covered by your travel insurance for all eventualities can also help holidaymakers to relax and forget their worries when on a break.
A survey by MORE TH>N recently discovered that four per cent of Britons have taken a work related phone call during a body wax session.
