Dubai 'a premium destination'

Dubai will always be a premium holiday destination, it has been noted, but people can still get travel insurance and grab an affordable trip to the region.
According to the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, the quality and service which people can expect on a holiday to Dubai will "never be compromised".
Director at the group Ian Scott noted that over the next few months, a number of new hotels and spas are set to open in Dubai, which could tempt people to get a holiday insurance policy and head to the emirate.
"We've got the Dubai Metro being fully open by March 2010, a new spa opening in January, the Armani hotel opens in March and a number of new hotels are opening too," he explained.
The UK and Ireland represent the biggest tourist market for Dubai and in 2008, 854,601 British travellers visited the area, figures from the group showed.
