The Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) is renowned around the world for its great discounts and entertainments, and draws in tourists from all over.
That is according to the office that runs the annual shopping extravaganza, which receives more than two million international visitors every year.
According to the DSF Office, the festival is a shopper's paradise because of the wide range of discounts on designer goods and Dubai's zero per cent VAT.
Abdulla Hassan Amiri, operations and logistics manager for the organisation, explained that the festival will be hosted from January 15th until February 15th, 2009.
"There's entertainment, there're the biggest malls in the world [and] there's also the desert," he said. They can enjoy skiing anytime during the day. We have a lot of things … we have modern and classical culture."
Recently, Dubai's department of tourism and commerce marketing revealed that 6.95 million guests stayed in the emirate's hotels last year, an increase of eight per cent on 2006.
