Property prices in Dubai 'on the up'

Those looking to make the most of a cheap annual travel insurance and take regular trips to a home abroad could be interested in buying in Dubai.

According to new figures from Colliers International, property prices in the emirate have risen for the first time in a year - which could be a sign that the property market in the region is heading for recovery.

The statistics showed that property prices rose by seven per cent in the third quarter of this year.

Such news could mean that buying now may see Brits get a good return on their investment in the future.

Commenting on the figures, director at Select Property Giles Beswick said that property in the United Arab Emirates as a whole looks "well placed to bounce back".

"A renewed optimism in the Dubai market is starting to emerge and initial signs of a turnaround are becoming apparent," he said.
