Foreign investors 'returning to familiar territory'

Brits looking to invest in an overseas holiday home are returning to destinations that they have travelled to in the past and feel familiar with, it has been noted.

According to A Place in the Sun Magazine, people are keen to buy homes in areas which they are comfortable with and which are easy to reach from the UK.

Having a holiday home which is easy to quickly jet to, possibly in a country such as Spain or France, could see Brits making regular visits to their overseas property - and could make an annual travel insurance policy a good idea.

Editor of the travel magazine Richard Way noted that confidence is gradually returning to the overseas investment market, which could see more Brits getting travel insurance quotes for holidays and flying off over coming months.

Those unsure where best to invest their cash could be interested in the findings of a recent UN survey, which found that Norway, Australia, Iceland, Canada and Ireland are the top five best places to live in the world.
