Find cheap holidays by signing up to newsletters

The best way to ensure that holiday is inexpensive is to "sign up to as many newsletters as possible".
Sharron Livingston, founder of The Travel Magazine, has asserted that this will help holidaymakers find a cheap trip because they will be more likely to find offers from online travel agents.
Ms Livingstone said that last minute trips actually work out more expensive at the moment, so the best thing to do is book breaks as far in advance as possible.
She noted that this is generally true of trips booked either independently or through a travel agent.
"The credit crunch is turning us savvy at bargain hunting," she commented. "My advice is to sign up to as many newsletters as possible because that’s where online travel agents first promote their offers.
"Even though the general rule is 'book well in advance', when last minute bargains come up they will be promoted in the newsletter."
Almost 45 per cent of people still go to a traditional high street travel agents when arranging a holiday, a report by Holiday Which? published in February 2008 found.
