Holidaymakers 'wasting money via wrong financial options'

At least two thirds of holidaymakers are losing money on holiday by taking the wrong financial options, it has been stated.
Research by moneysupermarket.com and travelsupermarket.com has found that many Brits are failing to use their credit and debit cards, which are safer and cheaper than making last minute sprints to take out cash from the airport.
And the money that could be saved could give a traveller more spending power on their break or be used to take out better travel insurance or more comfortable flights.
Steve Willey, head of travel money at moneysupermarket.com, has stated that cash and travellers cheques are more expensive than basic plastic so travellers should get the best plastic to make the most of their holiday, which may be a credit card without a foreign loading charge.
He added: "It is sad to see so many people paying far more than they need to.
"Making some smart moves now rather than relying on cash from the airport will give you more spending power on your holiday."
