Honeymooners booking beach holidays online

A quarter of couples book their honeymoon over the internet, new figures have suggested.
Research carried out by MSC Cruises also found that 23 per cent use the telephone to book their dream holiday, while 14 per cent left it to a friend or family member to organise, reports Travelmole.
According to the figures, honeymooners are also willing to splash the cash on their holiday overseas, with 47 per cent spending more than £1,000 on the trip.
Those jetting off on their honeymoon are being warned to ensure all goes smoothly by checking that they have taken out adequate travel insurance cover before they fly.
Travelmole says that the figures show beach holidays as being the most popular for newly-weds followed by city breaks.
MSC Cruises UK managing director Claudia Baino told Travelmole: "It's a great chance for agents to be creative with the clients, and to lead couples into selecting the holiday of a lifetime.
"After all 55 per cent are not looking for a traditional desert island honeymoon and many would not have thought of a cruise, which offers a wealth of varied experiences."
