Slovakia is proving to be a hotspot with tourists because of the historical sights and natural beauty that it provides, according to Slovakia Investment Property.
Petra Gajdosikova, managing director of the company, stated that Slovakia has a got a wide variety of different locations that can be visited by tourists, including the lakes and mountains which offer skiing opportunities and historical cities and castles.
As well as sporting opportunities Slovakia has quite rich cultural offerings, with holidaymakers having the chance to take in some opera and classical music.
Ms Gajdosikova added that parts of Slovakia can be compared to Vienna because of the similarities.
Holidaymakers looking to venture on a break abroad should be reminded to take out travel insurance for any loss or damage that may occur during a trip, with specialist insurance policies like golf travel insurance available for those thinking of packing their clubs.
Slovakia will adopt the Euro as of January 1st 2009 after having their application approved by the European Commission last month.
