Suitcases 'worth more than a holiday'

Research has shown that British travellers often carry around items in their suitcase which together are worth more than the holiday itself.
According to hotel chain Holiday Inn, holidaymakers cram clothes, accessories and electronics worth around £1,571.98 into their luggage.
The study highlights the importance of taking out travel insurance, with the firm revealing that mp3 players and digital cameras were among the more expensive items carried while away.
Chris Hale, spokesman for Holiday Inn, said: "The findings of this poll are incredible, particularly considering Brits take nearly as much away for a long weekend as they do for a full 14 day holiday.
"A lot of planning goes into even short breaks - it takes an average of 29 days for Brits to book a holiday from when they first start browsing on the internet. Packing our bags seems to involve the same level of meticulous - and very British - planning."
Other expensive items which are often stuffed into suitcases include jewellery, sunglasses and designer clothes.
