Winter 'a great time' to head to overseas festival

Brits wondering what to do during the cold and wet UK winter may find that this time of the year is ideal for heading to a festival abroad.
According to James Bainbridge, author of the Lonely Planet book A Year of Festivals, people in the UK do not have to stay in the country and freeze in the chilly conditions.
"Just because we are going into the cold winter months in Britain it doesn't mean that the rest of the world shuts down - there are lots of things taking place in other hemispheres," he said.
His comments followed an announcement from event organisers Flash Entertainment, which said that it will launch an Abu Dhabi version of UK dance festival Creamfields in December this year.
The event is due to be held on December 11th, which gives UK revellers wishing to visit the festival plenty of time to get flights, travel insurance and somewhere to stay in the destination.
