Annual travel insurance best for frequent travellers

Travellers that go on more than one holiday a year have been advised by the Guardian that it makes more sense to take out annual travel insurance.
The article claims that a traveller is able to get an annual travel insurance policy from some companies for the same cost as another may charge for a fortnight in Spain.
However, the article also warns holidaymakers not to just dive in and buy the cheapest policy that they are offered because they may not provide all the important issues that a person may expect from their insurance cover.
Holidaymakers are advised only to buy a standard travel insurance policy if they are either travelling once a year to a destination, other than America, or if they are older travellers, as single-trip policies can offer them a better deal.
Meanwhile, those that often prefer to go on adventure holidays have been told to double check the small print of their travel insurance to make sure they are covered for the individual activities they intend on taking part in.
