Cruisers 'getting more luxurious'

Travellers looking for a luxury break away in 2008 could consider taking to the seas, as cruise firms are currently in a battle to outdo each other in style and opulence, according to reports.

Cruise liners are getting bigger and better than ever, with added luxury extras, such as 24-hour butlers and marbled bathrooms in every suite, now becoming the difference between holidays.

The Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) explained that the over-the-top luxuries now afforded cruise goers could not have been conceived even a few years ago.

According to TravelMole, the CLIA explained: "On luxury yachts, globe-trotting ocean liners and every type of cruise ship in-between, guests in search of the ultimate in elegance, exclusivity or spacious privacy will be astonished by what they find."

However, even the best and most luxurious cruise liner cannot cater for ever eventuality, and holidaymakers are advised to make sure they have adequate travel insurance for cruise holidays.ADNFCR-1320-ID-18442097-ADNFCR
