Visitors to Turkey could try to excellent local watersports
People looking for activity holidays this year may like to make a trip to Alacati, a unique Aegean town located in the western coast of Izmir Province in Turkey.
Recently, two UK airlines launched direct flights to Izmir, which means that British travellers can now explore the town which is well-known for its architecture, vineyards and windmills.
Alacati could be an ideal destination for those interested in water adventures. The town enjoys an average of 330 windy days every year, making its harbour suitable for activities such as windsurfing and kite-surfing.
Holidaymakers may find it useful to take out a comprehensive watersports travel insurance policy ahead of embarking on a journey.
Food lovers can try the local cuisine during their stay in the Turkish town. Celebrity chef Kemal Demirasal launched a charming locavore restaurant, called Barbun, in Alacati last year.
