Holidaymakers with an interest in pursuing a few rounds of 18 holes this summer could visit a new golf course in Egypt.
The Ancient Sands golf resort is set to be launched in El Gouna, including an 18-hole course designed by Karl Litten, luxury villas, townhouses and apartments.
Also included in the development will be a Golf Club Estate House containing a spa centre, restaurants and bars to provide a decent relaxing session after a day of hard graft and bunker play in the sun.
For golf fanatics looking for a bit of variation, El Gouna also plays host to the Steinberger Club and Cascades Soma Bay.
Any travellers set to embark on a golf holiday should take out travel insurance to cover them in case any loss or damage incurs to their clubs or other golf equipment.
Golf travel insurance is available to provide a player with specialist cover precisely for their equipment.
