Golf travel insurance on the shopping list for Brazil

Golf travel insurance could be a wise investment for holidaymakers ahead of a trip to Brazil.
The destination - home to fermented sugar-cane drink cachaca - is reportedly growing in popularity as a golfing region.
Brazilian Tourist Office director for UK and Ireland Glauco Chris Fuzinatto notes that the country is also becoming more involved in the sport on an international level.
"We opened the British Open event last year in Southport," he says.
But for those people who are travelling beyond Southport to try Brazil's own courses, golf travel insurance could be a worthwhile investment to help protect against damage to equipment during the journey.
"We do have an enormous and a very good golf course just outside Rio de Janeiro, just on the outskirts," says Mr Fuzinatto.
This may be partly responsible for the trend over the past two to three years which has seen a rapid rise in golfers heading to Brazil.
