Pippa Middleton is taking part in a ski race to raise funds for a children's charity
Socialite Pippa Middleton is to take part in one of the longest cross-country ski races in the world to raise money for a children's charity.
Miss Middleton, the younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, will be joined by their brother James in taking on the Vasaloppet, a 56-mile cross-country ski race being held in Sweden on Sunday.
Having taken part in the 50-mile Highland Cross endurance race in the past, Miss Middleton is no stranger to gruelling physical challenges and will be well aware of the importance of a good
ski travel insurance policy.
The pair are raising money for the Magic Breakfast charity, which delivers free breakfasts to thousands of primary school children in the UK. Miss Middleton has already raised £5,000 for the cause.
Vasaloppet spokesman Per Strid said: "It's really fantastic that such well-known people will take part. It shows that our arrangements attract not only the most renowned skiers in the world but also some of the most famous personalities in the world as well."
