Golfers will be flocking to Abu Dhabi following the opening of a new resort
Holidaymakers can enjoy a sporting break in Abu Dhabi as Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has opened the Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa.
The hotel, which features 172 luxury rooms facing the golf course, is likely to attract many golfing fans to the emirate.
Developed close to the fairways of the championship Abu Dhabi Golf Course, the hotel also has several restaurants and bars, as well as premium meeting-room facilities.
However, ahead of booking, golf enthusiasts would be well-advised to take out comprehensive
sports travel insurance to cover any possible injures suffered out on the course.
Roeland Vos, president, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa, and Middle East, said: "We are excited to introduce the Westin brand in Abu Dhabi in association with the Tourism Development & Investment Company and with this opening we hope to elevate the emirate's position as a leading tourism destination in the region."
