SeaFrance Ferries' services between Dover and Calais have been suspended for 48 hours
Troubled French ferry firm SeaFrance Ferries has announced that all its services between Dover and Calais have been cancelled for 48 hours pending a court ruling that will dictate the future of the company.
The firm's decision to suspend services on November 15, which was announced on its website, could disrupt the plans of holidaymakers who may have to turn to their
SeaFrance Ferries, owned by French rail operator SNCF, said in a statement: "We have taken this decision, with full knowledge of the consequences, to safeguard the security of the passengers, crews, vehicles and ships. We are conscious of the inconvenience this situation is causing and we apologise for this. We will keep you informed of any changes in the present situation."
