Caribbean 'set to be popular' this winter

Travel insurance could be next on the shopping list of Brits who want to jet off to sunnier climes this winter.
According to marketing director at On the Beach Alistair Daly, both the Caribbean and parts of the US will be popular among Brits seeking some winter sun during the depths of the current UK cold spell.
"With glorious weather, beautiful beaches and warm waters, it's easy to see why the islands of the Caribbean are a very popular destination for those trying to escape cold winters back in Britain," he noted.
Mr Daly also said that during the next couple of months, people are increasingly going to be heading to non-eurozone destinations after being tempted by improving exchange rates between the British sterling and currencies such as the dollar.
According to figures from On the Beach, there has been an increase in sales of last minute breaks this winter, with numbers of people booking holidays and jetting off during winter almost 40 per cent higher than this time last year.
