Experts are advising parents to opt for Spain when it comes to choosing where to spend the summer holidays.
A property organisation which specialises in the country said that it is very child-friendly and that there is plenty to entertain holidaymakers of all ages.
According to Spanish Property Owners Guild, the country is not only sunny for most of the year but can also be a cheaper option than other destinations.
Paul Bradley, spokesman for the Guild, said: "It starts with weather …very sunny weather, and lots of it – especially during the winter.
"It promotes an outdoor lifestyle and much more social interaction with your neighbours."
He added that mums and dads can "let your children run free without fear of anything" and that "kids are loved by all Spaniards".
Mr Bradley also highlighted the fact that there are "lots of fiestas that are a pleasure to go to".
